8 Weeks

Time is flying by.  How in the world do I already have an 8 week old?  Where did my newborn go?  When did this little chunky old man take the place of my skinny baby?  Mom said that before I know it, he will be going off to college and I will be asking myself some of these same questions.  It's crazy how big they get in such a small window of time.  Mom and I were talking about that tonight.  Especially since we have another newborn to compare him to.  In no time Scout will catch up with him and be a chunky little mama too. :)  Andrea gave me a book called "Love You Forever".  It makes me cry every time I read it.  It used to make me cry before I even had a baby but it has so much more meaning now.  I'm getting choked up just thinking about it.  I went somewhere one day after Vince was born and mom was still here and told mom to read that book but to watch out, that it would make her cry.  It takes alot to make her cry and she was like "I'm not going to cry over this book."  She said as she was reading it to Vince that she did just that.  Told you mom.  I'm right sometimes. :)  Anywho, writing this post made me think of that.  Sooo...

Vinceypoo,
I'll love you forever
I'll like you for always
As long as I'm living
My baby you'll be

That's an excerpt out of the book and it gets me every time.
He just keeps growing and growing.  He's a heavy little toot to carry around.  Okay mom, you were right.  He was easier to carry around on the inside but much more fun on the outside. :)  Here are some pics I took today and he was actually awake this time instead of asleep.  He's so alert now when he's awake and he stays awake alot longer than before.  Fun.  Except when I want to take a shower, clean the house, vacuum, eat, etc...then I wish he were taking more naps. :)
I love you more than you will ever know little man and Daddy does too.  We could just sit and watch you and play with you all day.  I can't believe that God has given us the privelege to be your parents.  Oh yeah and SLOW DOWN!!! :)

Love
Jen

Vroom Vroom-Now all I need is a motorcycle.

  1. Hey - no fair telling on me. I can just see you now - waiting until he falls asleep when he's about 15, going into his room and holding him in your arms and rocking your "little man". He has stolen my heart just like you stole my heart the minute you were born. I remember holding you and being amazed at how perfect you were (and are). I remember your first smile, your first scrape, the first time you reached for something, the first haircut and on and on. Enjoy every minute of every day. Yes they do grow up, just like you did. He will make you proud, just like you do. And one day he'll give you a grandbaby to love - just like you did. Life is good so grab onto every happy minute of it, remember it, treasure it, embrace it. You are a wonderful mommy and Keith is a great daddy. I'm so proud of you both. Thank you for such a beautiful perfect grandson. I love you!!
