13 months

So Mr. Boy just turned 13 months on July 3rd. This month has flown by. He has really started to come into his own lately. He isn't walking yet but it's just a matter of time. He cruises all over the place and he has taken a few tentative steps in between furniture but nothing solid yet. That's ok. I'm pretty sure it's going to open up a whole new can of worms. :) He plays in his playroom a lot but he definitely wants to explore. Everywhere. I'm constantly following him around it seems like. He loves the dogs now. Especially Sarah. He tries to play with Mack but Mack's too lazy and doesn't really know about Vince yet. Except at meal times. Then Mack loves Vince of course. He gets extra food. Vince has started to feed the dogs his food so I have to leave them outside while we're eating and have them come vacuum it up when we are finished. :) He has started to crawl up to Sarah and open his mouth so Sarah can lick the inside of his mouth. It's so gross! I have to watch him and tell him and the dog no. Sarah is a licker so she's in dog heaven. I know some of you just cringed.

C'mon Sarah. Mom's not looking. I need kisses!

Vince eats all kinds of food now. I still feed him a lot of baby food. Especially the veggies so I know he's getting some of the good stuff too. But he gets a ton of solid food also. He LOVES watermelon. The boy could eat it all day. He loves strawberries, bananas, eggs, turkey, green beans, Pirates Booty Veggie style :), cheese, beans, rice, corn tortillas, blueberries, and so on. I mean he will pretty much eat whatever I put in his mouth. Oh and he loves toast!  It took him awhile to like eggs because of the texture I guess, but now he loves them. We ate at Jason's Deli the other day and I had tomato basil soup. He gobbled that up along with crackers and of course chocolate/vanilla swirl ice cream. I don't ever give him things like that because I'm afraid he'll never want to eat the good stuff again. He loved it! Of course he loved it. It's ice cream. :) He still takes his milk from a bottle. We're working on that. He'll drink water from a sippy cup and milk sometimes but for the most part, milk is still in the bottle. I got yelled at the other day by some lady I had just met because my baby still drinks from a bottle. Whatever! I didn't even know it was time to switch him yet. I mean he's been taking liquids from a sippy cup since he was way younger just not all the time. Oh well. So we're workin on it. :)

Vincey talks and talks and talks and then talks some more. He's a very vocal baby. He says daddy, all the time! Everyone is daddy. People in the store, the dogs, even me! I always say, no, I'm mommy and then we will go look at a picture of daddy and he just lights up and and points at daddy and says, "Daaahhhyyy". So sweet. I think he loves his daddy. He says momma too but only when something is wrong or he's tired. Little toot. He loves playing with his ball and says ball all the time. He picks it up and throws it or rolls it to me. We have this set of stackable animals that Andrea gave us that he loves. The monkey is on top and so when we first got it, I would take off the monkey and say, "Where's the monkey?" and put it on his head. He loved it! So gets the monkey and puts it on his own head now. If I say "Where's the monkey?" he can pick it out of the group of animals. Oh and the little turkey LOVES to turn the cable receiver on and off. It' so annoying. He loves buttons. Loves all things he cannot have. I'm pretty sure every baby does.

Got one with the frog but not the monkey.

Here momma. Ball!

Oooh, I'm lookin at the things I'm not supposed to play with.

I'm gonna get em.

What?

Daddy, I just want to PUSH the buttons!

He truly is the best baby, even when he's throwing a temper tantrum in line at Babies R Us because I took my wallet away from him because I had to pay for the stuff I was buying for him! :) No really, he is. He's just gotten a little personality and he doesn't understand why he can't have EVERYTHING that he wants when he wants it. The sooner he learns that's not the way life works the better. Of course when you're child is screaming in line at the grocery store when you take away your own wallet to pay, and you are THAT mother whose child won't shut up, you give the baby what he wants. :) He can learn about life later. Love you Mr. Boy!

I'm being sweet now.

I'm not giving you any stinkin kisses momma!

How can you say no to this face??
