3 more weeks!!

Keith and I went to the doctor yesterday for my monthly check-up.  All was well.  Haven't gained too much weight yet although when I stepped on the scale I did gasp a little.  Never weighed that much before!  I was talking to the nurse  and asked her if someone was going to talk to me about how much weight I should gain since nobody has really said anything to me about weight.  She kind of laughed and said, "Well, we don't really do that here.  I mean if you had gained about 10 more pounds on top of what you had in a month, then we might tell you to lay off the burgers but other than that, no."  I kind of laughed and then she said, "It doesn't really sound right for me to tell you to stop gaining so much weight when I'm fat, now does it?"  Keith and I just looked at each other and laughed.  I mean what did she expect me to say??? :)  She is too funny.  I really like everyone at my doctor's office.  They are all very welcoming and nice.  

We got to hear the baby's heartbeat again.  It was around 160 this time.  I asked if maybe we could see the baby today (knowing fully well that I wasn't gonna get to) and she just laughed at me.  She basically told me to quit being a brat.  Not in those words of course. :)  I guess nowadays we are brats because we are so used to instant gratification that this waiting for 9 months thing just isn't going to work out for us and nearly kills us.  Well me at least.  I can't help it that I have been conditioned to getting everything I want right when I want it. Okay, maybe that's overkill, but you get the picture.  Heehee.  We did schedule the gender sonogram for January 28th though.  We are soooo excited.  I already took that day off from school and told her to schedule me for as early as possible.  So we are going at 9:20 in the morning.  I can't wait!!!  Hey, did I mention that I can't wait?? :)

Also, in the past couple of weeks I really seem to have popped out.  I mean my belly is pretty large for just being 17 1/2 weeks.  But everyone is different right??  I will post a new belly pic soon.
