Presents for Baby

Christmas this year was a whirlwind!  We had an early Christmas with my side of the family on the 19th and of course Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with Keith's side of the family.  We got a lot of great stuff!  My mom got me a ton of maternity clothes from Old Navy along with a multitude of other stuff. Keith's mom got me the diaper bag that I wanted with alot of other great stuff also.  So although I was still the focal point of my own Christmas presents, the baby was always in on something. :)

Baby Duncan made out this year too!  It started at our school Christmas party. One of my kids got the baby some Winnie the Pooh baby booties along with a blanket.  They are sooo soft and so tiny!  My sister-in-law Andrea and the rest of the Safford clan got me a really cute giraffe picture frame.  I already put the first picture of the baby in it.  It fit perfectly.  Jolie and Nina (my cousin Mandy's little girls) got  us a beautiful blue and white picture frame with cute sayings all over it.  I can't wait to fill that with a pic. Nan got us a really cute toy that hangs on baby's carseat.  I loved all of it and know that Baby Duncan will too!  Must be nice already getting presents and you're not even out of the womb yet! :)

And last, but certainly not least, I got a gift from my Guardian Angel.  AKA Granny Betty. :)  My granny(mom's mom) died when I was 12.  We were really close and even had the same birthday.  She always got me an angel ornament for the Christmas tree, so when she died, my mom carried on the tradition.  Mom said, last year I think, that I was getting too old for it (pooh!) and said that when I had a baby that she would start a new tradition for him/her.  I didn't like that too much but I was not expecting an angel ornament this year.  And I didn't get one.  I got something even better.   I opened the box at Christmas with my side of the family and immediately started crying!  I am even getting emotional right now thinking about it.  I HATE getting emotional and crying around people.  I don't know why...maybe I don't like being so vulnerable, but I am NOT a cryer in public.  I literally couldn't stop the water works though.  Normally I'm very good at keeping them in check but not this time.  I'll just post the picture so you can see what it was.

We had a GREAT Christmas from everybody and with everybody and hope everyone else did too!!  We love you guys.  Here are some of the pics that I took of  mine and the baby's presents.

Oh, and all these pics say 1/12/2007 on them.  Obviously not the date.  Thanks mom!!  She put the date thing on my camera and then didn't set the date. :)  Love you anyway.
Jen
