Sorry Maddox

Okay, so it's been almost 4 months since I last updated. It's a lot harder to find the time to update when there are two beings vying for your attention, all the while trying to have a little time to yourself as well. Needless to say, the blog fell way down on the totem pole. So this will be a long, catch up post along with a million pictures. Better late than never AND at least I've been keeping up with pictures.

Maddox Walker Duncan, you are such a good baby. Except when Mommy drinks milk or eats dairy products and unless you are in a new situation with new people. Other than that, you are great! You laugh and smile at mommy, daddy, and brother and you love playing under your play gym. Mortimer Moose is your favorite toy right now. You love grabbing his legs and chewing on them. You grunt all the time. I think you do it when you get impatient or frustrated. We love your dimples and your big, blue eyes. Our family is now complete with you in it. Your brother loves you and gives you hugs and kisses when he goes to bed. Other than that, he pretty much ignores you right now. But you watch him all the time and you love talking to him and watching his every move. I'm sure you're learning quickly. You are 4 and a half months old right now and you sleep through the night, which mommy and daddy LOVE. If you do happen to wake up before it's time, you drink your bottle and go right back to sleep. You love your daddy and he is the only one who can calm you down when we are some place new. I'm pretty sure he's smitten with you too. You love your WubANub (paci with a little stuffed animal on it) and I'm pretty sure you are already starting to teeth. You chew and suck on your fingers (and anything you can get your hands on) all the time. You look similar to your brother but that's about it. You are a completely different baby than he was. Which is just fine since you are a completely different person. :) We love you very much!

Maddox is pretty lactose intolerant. Between months one and two, we couldn't figure out why he always had a rash on his face, why he threw up all the time, or why he would have gas right when he would start eating his bottle. Then I eliminated all dairy, which was and is tons of fun, and he was like a new baby.

He enjoys tummy time for a couple of minutes and then he cries. :) He hasn't tried to roll over yet but he has found his toes which is really cute. He follow me around the room with his eyes and he tries to grab at things sometimes. I only have about a month of school left and I am really excited to get to spend so much time with him (and Vince) this summer.

Vince has turned into a little chatter box. He talks nonstop! All the way to school and all the way home. Then at home while I'm cooking dinner, and during dinner, and playing with his toys, and while we clean up his toys, and while I'm trying to brush his teeth, and while we read him a book or two and while trying to get him to go to bed. Seriously...non stop! He always needs a Band-Aid for something. The other night he hit his head on the bed and had to have a Band-Aid before he went to sleep. He loves puzzles and does a couple every night. He's gotten really good at the bigger puzzles. He loves taking things apart and putting them back together again. He uses his tools when daddy uses his tools and he even has his very own work gloves like daddy's. It's too cute. Vince hasn't been eating very good. We always offer him whatever we are having and don't make him anything special but he still won't have anything to do with most of the stuff I make. He does like corn on the cob, potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, broccoli, popcorn, chicken (sometimes) bacon, sausage, and sour cream. Oh and chips. We have to limit the chips because that boy could eat them all the time. He likes watermelon, strawberries, blueberries, yogurt, pickles, and of course all the bad stuff like cookies, donuts, and chocolate. Which we try to limit too. He'll eat cereal and waffles every once in a while and he likes biscuits and gravy sometimes as well. His likes and dislikes vary from day to day which is very frustrating. I was telling mom the other day that before I know it he'll be eating us out of house an home so I guess it's ok for now. This boy is a little obsessed with the iPhone and iPad and we definitely have to limit his time on them. He loves playing ball outside with us and loves when I draw pictures for him with the sidewalk chalk. He's not really into drawing the pics himself, he just likes bossing me around. :)

Our lives are pretty busy, but great, right now. I have lots of pictures to share and they tell more stories than I could right now since I can't remember anything lately. :) I will definitely be updating more when summer gets here. Here goes.
