Today has been a great day. We woke up pretty early and got ready. Sat around the house for awhile smelling the delicious turkey cooking in the oven and just visiting with family. Then around 12 we went down the street to Uncle Tim and Aunt Loy's house and visited some more with the huge Akens clan before eating. Loy's mom, dad, and sister were there and they have a tradition where you make a circle and then everyone in the circle says what they are thankful for. It was really nice. So everyone said what they were thankful for, Uncle Pat said grace, and then we ate. And ate. And ate. Ugghhhh! Did I mention that we ate? Everything was so good and I only had a little room for desserts. The day is not over yet though. :)
Vince loved being outside and running around. That boy loves to be outside, wearing a hat, with no shoes or socks. He is not like his momma because I can't stand to walk around in the grass with no shoes on. He is talking up a storm. He's like a little parrot and he repeats everything you say. He hasn't said anything bad yet. Which he wouldn't because mommy and daddy NEVER say anything we aren't supposed to. :) Yeah right. We try not to but sometimes things slip. Can't wait for the day he says something inappropriate in public and I get to see just how great of a parent I am. :)
He loves Nick Jr. and his favorite shows are Olivia, Yo Gabba Gabba, The Backyardigans, and any of the music that they play. Oh and Dora and Diego. I got him a Diego doll for his stocking. It was either that or Dora and I don't think daddy would appreciate me buying him a girl doll. Although I almost bought him a mini Olivia doll in Target the other day. He loves that pig. He dances every time it comes on. Of course he would love a pig show. On my mom's side of the family, they have pig wars. They gift each other pigs of some sort every year for Christmas. It's weird. I don't remember how it started but it's been going on for quite some time now. :)
He is growing up so quickly and every day he does something new. He definitely has become opinionated. He tells me no when he doesn't want something and done when he doesn't want anymore of something and ready when he wants to go and outside when he wants to go outside and you get the picture. He knows what he wants and is very good at voicing it.
Here are some pics from today. I love that little man so much and and am so glad God blessed us by letting Keith and I be his parents. Happy Thanksgiving!
Yeah I'm cute!
I stole Emma's hat.
I want one mom!
Swinging with the big boys.
Wheeeeeeeeee!
This is Mr. Cuddles.
I'm still cool even though I carry around Mr. Cuddles though.
Bye bye Daddy Mike.
Me and my momma. It's sunny that's why I have no eyes. :)
One day I'll be old enough to play washers.
But for now I'll just be silly.
