Mr. Boy Turns 2!

Wow, I am REALLY late on this post. I've sat at the computer numerous times and contemplated posting and then decided not to. Laziness. That's basically all it is. So here goes.

Vince loves Toy Story so we decided to go with that theme this year for his birthday. Much easier than last year. Just went to the store and bought all the supplies. No making anything this year for me. Again, laziness. :) Last year was cuter but this year was way more fun for him. His birthday party was on Saturday, June 2nd. His actual birthday is on the 3rd so we were really close this year.  His invites were cute although I couldn't get him to smile in his picture. Silly boy.

He got a lot of really fun stuff for his birthday this year. He plays with all of it! Here are some pictures from the party. The house got pretty crowded this year so we are thinking about doing it somewhere else next year. We'll see. :)

While I'm here I will update on all of the things he is doing right now. At two he can...

-Count to 10

-recognize most of his letters

-parrot everything you say

-can remember a lot of peoples names and likes to name them when it's time to go to sleep. :)

-eats a lot more than he used to which I am happy about. I don't have to try to force feed him anymore. Not like that worked anyway. :) 

-one of his favorite things (besides candy, chocolate, ice cream, and cookies which he gets rarely) is raw broccoli. He doesn't really like it cooked very much but he will just walk around munching on raw broccoli. Yuck! 

-loves pretty much all fruit. Some faves this summer are blackberries (blackbellys), watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberries (strawbellys), and prunes. He doesn't get those very often because, well you should know why. :) Andrea gave them to him one day and called them candy so now he loves them. He doesn't get yummy sweet stuff very often

-still only drinks water, juice every once in a while, and a little milk. He used to love milk but I guess he's going through a phase and doesn't seem to want it. Water is what he usually wants. 

-found out the other day that he loves cucumbers with a little salt. Me too!!

-loves to go walking every morning to see the lil polies (roly polies). We seriously have to go walking everyday which makes my butt get up and move so that's good. :) Of course we go super early before it gets super hot. I'm talking 6:45 here. 

-LOVES swimming (wimmin)

-understands all kinds of directions that I give him. Like go throw that in the trash (which is awesome) and things like that. 

-loves to help feed the dogs. He gets to carry the food to their bowls.

-is obsessed with Mr. Potato Head which we got him. Stupid, stupid, stupid!!  He wants you to help him with pota heaadddd ALL THE TIME! He can't get the pieces in by himself very well so I have to sit there and wait for him to bring me piece by piece to help him with it. He will literally put it together and take it apart 10-12 times a day and I just about can't handle potato head!!! I mean he goes to sleep talking about him and wakes up asking about him. It's ridiculous. If there was ever a toy that I would take back. :) I would totally hide him but Vince might have a nervous breakdown.

-has lovely temper tantrums and whines a lot! Hoping this is just a phase. 

-loves to scream as loud as he can while at the grocery store. Learned to curb that by going straight for the natural cheetos so he just munches on those the whole time. Bribing him but don't care. :)

-tells us he loves us and gives hugs and kisses and is the sweetest child. Besides the temper tantrums of course. 

-loves to go to church and play with toys, eat bananas and apples, and of course God and Jesus. :) Last but at least he knows they are a part of church already. :)

We can't imagine our life without you bubba! You have brought joy and laughter to our lives that we didn't even know we were missing. Happy 2nd birthday!!
