27 Weeks and New Books

I have been saying for awhile now that by the time I got really pregnant, I was going to turn into the blueberry girl from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and people were going to have to roll me around.  While I don't think that I am at blueberry status just yet, Vince sure is!  Especially in this purple cardigan. :)  It feels like I'm carrying a basketball around in there.

He has really become so much more active in the last week or so.   Keith has been feeling him a lot more lately.  Now I can see him kick and punch by watching my stomach move.  It's a really crazy feeling and not one you can really put into words.  Everyone tells me it's just going to get crazier.  That soon I'll be able to see hands going across my stomach and feet sticking out.  Weird.  In a good way of course.

One of my best friends, Emily, just had her baby on March 9th.  Her name is Rae Lauren Ambler and she weighed 8lbs 2oz and was 22 inches long.  She is just the cutest little thing!  I got to see her about an hour or so after she was born and she was so pretty.  Not anything like some newborns I've seen.  Most of the newborns I've seen are all red and splotchy with scrunched up faces and such.  I mean, I know why obviously...they just made quite the journey out into the world! :)  Not her!  She was very alert and all wide eyed and bushy tailed. And just a pretty shade of pink.  I can't wait until our little ones get to meet and play with each other.  Congratulations Emily and Dave!!  She's perfect.

We go back to the doctor on March 25th.  I get the privilege of taking the Gestational Diabetes test this time.  I already have my yummy orange drink chilling in the fridge.  Some people say the drink is just terrible while others say it wasn't so bad.  I'll let you know how I feel about it. :)  Let's just hope that everything comes out ok and I don't have GD.  They are going to be doing another sonogram this time too.  I'm really excited to see how much he has grown and what he looks like now.  From what the books say, he should weigh around 2lbs now...give or take a few ounces.

Keith and I went to Marshall's yesterday and found some books that I was really excited about.  Dr. Seuss, Little Critter, and Berenstain Bears.  All some of my favorites.  Each book came with multiple stories.  6 for Dr. Seuss, 5 Berenstain Bears, and I think 7 of The Little Critter stories.  I've already been reading them to Vince.  That poor kid is going to have so many books by the time I get through buying them all up.  He better be like his momma and like to read!!! :)  I will update more after our doctor's appointment.

  1. Let us know how the orange drink tastes. Jill has to do that on her next visit so I'm interested to hear. Hope you're doing well!
