Turns out that I didn't have the flu...just an upper respiratory infection that lasted almost an entire week! I'll take that any day over the flu though. My mom came down this weekend so we could go to my stepsister Kelly's bridal shower. It was at a beautiful place in Dallas and we had some awesome food. Afterwards we went shopping and then couldn't help but go to Babies R Us. Mom wanted to be the first one to buy the baby a present. She bought the cutest stuffed animals. One is a frog rattle(my mother has an obsession with frogs) and the other is a giraffe. I'm on a giraffe kick for some reason.
Baby Duncan isn't making life tough for me at all right now. The only thing that is happening to me so far is I'm having some mild cramps and I'm sooo tired all the time. That and the fact that I have to pee every five seconds. So nothing too bad yet. Although, when I realize that I need to pee, I need to pee NOW!! I'm not usually like that at all. I can wait forever. Poor Keith found that out the hard way when we were shopping for Kelly's present. We were at Crate and Barrel in Southlake and I realized that I had to pee. Well they didn't have a bathroom that I could use and we are really not familiar with the Southlake area so we got in the car looking for someplace to go. This went on for about 5 minutes and by the time we found a bathroom I was nearly in tears I had to go so bad. The thing I didn't understand was that I went to the bathroom right before we left. I didn't drink anything on the way there and then 30 minutes later I have to pee like I haven't gone in hours. So that was weird. Keith thought I was crazy. I have a feeling he will be thinking that until I have this baby. :) I'm beginning to think I am too! :) That's enough for now.
